It has been a little over a month since I posted. The time has flown by. There has been snow on the ground almost the whole time. Other than a couple of days, it has been colder than I like. The stock market has been all over the place. I did my taxes and filed them electronically, all by myself. Both of my kids have had their birthdays and I made a trip to the Social Security office. Actually, I made two trips. The first to make an appointment and the second to have the appointment to ask questions. This Social Security thing is new to me. I am old enough for the Medicare Card (damn, I'm old), but not old enough for full benefits.
Still not sure what I am going to do when "retirement age" comes around. Work has become just that.....work. Until I draw my own SS, I can collect some from my second ex-spouse. That was a pleasant surprise. The idea of working and drawing SS is appealing. The extra money would make it easier to pay off the home equity loan (windows & siding). The sooner it is paid off, the less interest I pay. I like that idea!
I can't see myself sitting at home. I have never been the "Suzy Homemaker" type and I am not about to start now. 8:00 A.M. means that I should be somewhere. I guess I will do what I usually do. After all the "I don't knows" have been thought through, I will make a snap decision and deal with the consequences! One door closes and another one opens. Just don't know what door will close and which will open.....or when.

Oh, you'll find something to do to keep yourself busy! I think those grandkids probably can't wait!!
We can always use extra eyes watching the hood. Especially the ho chi min trail next to your house its very busy during the day lately.
If the traffic is that bad, call the police, please!
I have and you know by the time they get here they are already to china. We've been down to just 2 cars for the whole area on some days so response times are starting to get really SLOW.
Unless I can convince the owners of the rental property beside and behind me to put up fences, nothing is going to do much good. Personally, I am going with at least a six-foot chain link in back and maybe on the side facing the trail.
Ramble: I was under the impression all this was fixed by your previous city council member.
The "Walkway" is physically gone, but there are trespassers who cut through the rental property beside and behind me are still an issue. Not nearly like it used to be. If the owners of the properties maintained, repaired or replaced their fences, there would be no issue.
Just a little insight to the trespassers they range from kids around age 5 to adults in there late 60's and yes they are about 95 to 98% people of color. I personally have watched them kick at and jump on the fences to get them out of there way. I have even yelled at a kids on a couple of occasions her were harassing your dogs. Of course this cost me being called several names that would get me in trouble to type here. Of course if I were to respond in kind I would be called a racist so I just hold on a little tighter to my can of mace and walk out of sight from them but still keeping an eye on them.
